Spring is here and Russell Gardening Club is running the Annual Flower Show again this year Friday November 7th and Saturday November 8th.

The weather is starting to warm up and it’s a good time to start getting those flowers, shrubs, fruit and veges looking their best for your exhibits.

We would like to again have music on the Village Green but unfortunately our lovely musicians from the last few years are not available this year. If you do know of, or are part of a musical group who would like to perform some light entertainment for us on that weekend, on a purely voluntary basis, please let Trish Macintosh know (macintosh.trish@gmail.com).

As always the show is open for entries from all comers. And it’s still only $5 per person to enter as many exhibits as you like in as many classes as you like! Please refer to the images with this event for the schedule. 

A reminder that points are awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each Class and each Section has a trophy to be won! 

There are also trophies for best gardens. Please register with Denise Ellis (ellis.d@xtra.co.nz) before 27th October if you would like to enter your garden in either "Native Plants in Garden” or “Private Garden Viewed from the Street"

So once again, embrace the fun and get in as many entries as you can to have some friendly rivalry with your friends and neighbours. 🌺
